As The Radical Left Is Focused On Politics, Our Conservative School Board Majority Is Focused On Academics - And They Are Delivering For Our Students!

HUGE NEWS - 3rd Grade Reading in Sarasota County is up by 8% since the Conservative Board Majority was elected in 2022!

3RD GRADE READING SUCCESS

Summary:

As the Radical Left's Professional Political Activists flood our School Board meetings to focus on sexualizing our children, The Conservative School Board Majority has protected our School District from the Radicals, while also being laser-focusing with their efforts to improve academic achievement.

And it's working...with the greatest predictor of K-12 success going up by 8% since the Conservative Majority was elected in 2022 to lead our School Board.

Background:

3rd Grade Reading is the greatest predictor of academic success through grade 12 for every individual child.

3rd Graders reading at grade level paves the way for comprehending science, history and math. If you cannot read at grade level as a 3rd grader, catching up and academic success are near impossible.

Third grade reading is so important that the Florida Department of Education now has Grade 3 English Language Arts performance as a stand-alone measure in the formula for calculating the grades they assign to schools.

Successes:

  • Since Sarasota County fired the Liberal Majority and instead, elected a Conservative School Board Majority made up of Karen Rose, Bridget Ziegler, Robyn Marinelli & Tim Enos in 2022, 3rd grade reading is up by 8%!

  • Incredibly - under Superintendent Terry Connor's leadership - 3rd Grade Reading scores have increased by an unheard of 7% in one year.

  • If you exclude charter schools, the Sarasota County School District's increase is 14%.

Going Forward:

There is still more work to do, and we cannot stop until we get to 100%, but things are looking bright for Sarasota County Schools!
